The Maryland Department of Aging has partnered with Engage with® Skills Training Programs, a national non-profit initiative of the Mental Health Association of Maryland [MHAMD], to offer a live, virtual, immersive skills-based training which has been shown to reduce staff turnover, increase customer service skills, reduce PRN medication use, and help older adults feel better respected, listened to, and cared for as part of the Department's Longevity Ready initiative. The Engage with Skills Training Program is designed to provide staff members with a comprehensive skill set that elevates their empathy, respect, and communication skills, making them compassionate allies to the older adults they serve.
