Home Health | Private Duty | Durable Medical Equipment
Under the new “Maryland Total Cost of Care Model,” Maryland will be expected to progressively transform care delivery across the health care system with the objective of improving health and quality of care. Through the Stakeholders Innovation Group on which MNCHA has a seat, the Home Health Orders for Nurse Practitioners waiver has been created and will go into effect on January 1, 2020.
With a few important restrictions, this waiver will allow Nurse Practitioners in Maryland to sign home care orders for Medicare patients in Maryland.
