Over 5 million adults in the United States are living with some type of dementia. It is estimated that number will rise to 14 million by 2050. Today 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or dementia. As care providers we need to understand the impact dementia has on the patient and the family and what we can do to help improve their quality of life.
