What Business Practices Will Get You Investigated: Hot Button Issues for the Department of Justice Webinar
Presented by: PA Association of Medical Supplies (PAMS)
About the Webinar
The DME industry is being hit with the “perfect storm” of challenges: (i) competitive Bidding; (ii) stringent documentation requirements; (iii) post payment audits; and (iv) prepayment reviews. In addition, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General are becoming much more aggressive in bringing investigations against DME suppliers. It is essential for suppliers to understand what business practices the government is focusing on to ensure that their own practices are fully compliant. The presenter has represented numerous health care entities including dozens of DME suppliers in governmental investigations and will discuss how these investigations often get started and what suppliers can do in an effort to avoid them.
